LEGACY LINES — TERMS OF SERVICE

Welcome to Legacy Lines. By accessing our website or purchasing from us, you agree to the following Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. OVERVIEW

Legacy Lines provides a storytelling and recognition service that allows individuals to submit personal stories for inclusion in curated publications and to receive digital recognition materials. By using our site or services, you confirm that you are at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction and that you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. STORY SUBMISSIONS

When you submit a story to Legacy Lines, you confirm that:

  • The content is your original work or you have the right to submit it

  • The story does not infringe on the rights of others

  • The story does not contain unlawful, defamatory, or harmful content

By submitting a story, you grant Legacy Lines a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to edit, format, and publish the story as part of Legacy Lines projects, including but not limited to printed books, digital publications, and promotional materials.

Submission does not guarantee publication in a specific book or edition.

3. DIGITAL PRODUCTS (CERTIFICATES)

Digital certificates are delivered electronically immediately after payment.

Because digital products are delivered instantly and cannot be returned, all digital certificate purchases are final and non-refundable.

Customers are responsible for entering correct information when completing or printing certificates.

4. BOOK PREORDERS

Books offered by Legacy Lines may be sold as preorders.

By purchasing a preorder, you acknowledge that:

  • The book is not yet printed or shipped

  • Estimated timelines may change

  • Publication dates are not guaranteed

Preorder purchases are non-refundable once production has begun.

5. SHIPPING

Shipping fees for preorder books are not charged at the time of purchase.

Shipping costs will be collected separately when the book is ready to ship. Customers will be notified before shipping charges are applied.

Failure to complete shipping payment may result in delayed or cancelled delivery of the physical book.

6. PRICING & PAYMENTS

All prices are listed in Canadian Dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated.

Legacy Lines reserves the right to:

  • Change prices at any time

  • Offer limited-time discounts or promotional pricing

Discount codes must be applied at checkout and cannot be retroactively added.

7. REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS

Due to the personalized and digital nature of our services:

  • Story submissions are non-refundable

  • Digital certificates are non-refundable

  • Preorder books are non-refundable once production has begun

If you believe an error has occurred, please contact us and we will review the issue on a case-by-case basis.

8. CONTENT USE & PRIVACY

Legacy Lines respects privacy.

Stories may be published using:

  • First names only

  • Pseudonyms

  • Non-identifying group references

Full names and identifying details will not be published without explicit consent.

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Legacy Lines is not liable for:

  • Printing delays

  • Shipping delays

  • Third-party fulfillment issues

  • User-submitted content errors

Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the service in question.

10. TERMINATION

We reserve the right to refuse service, remove content, or terminate access if these Terms are violated.

11. CHANGES TO TERMS

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
